The Len Brown controversy is an obvious National Party set-up///

The political organiser who asked Len Brown's mistress to reveal their affair belongs to the National Party youth wing.

The Herald revealed yesterday that Luigi Wewege, a key member of right-winger John Palino's mayoral campaign, was in a relationship with Bevan Chuang and wanted her to expose the Auckland mayor.

Fair minded people say Brown should be judged on his record as mayor, not his record in bed.

The Kōhanga Reo National Trust receives funding from the Government to fund early childhood education services. This funding, which totalled approximately $80 million in the last financial year, is monitored by the Ministry of Education and subject to random audits. The Ministry has advised us that there have been no irregularities in this process, however we will be meeting with the Trust to discuss these issues that have been raised.”

Change of heart by Maori Party over the RMA could prove beneficial to them...

Mana leader Hone Harawira is welcoming a change of heart by the Maori Party to changes to the Resource Management Act.

The Maori Party says it can’t support Environment Minister Amy Adams’ amendments because they replace the principle of environmental sustainability with a drive for economic development.

United Future MP Peter Dunne has also gone cold on the changes, meaning the Government will have to either court New Zealand First or rewrite the bill to get it passed.

Mr Harawira is calling on his former colleagues to hold the line.

"I would sincerely hope that they stand by that decision and not allow themselves to be bought off over the next few weeks because you can absolutely guarantee Nationals going to come back at them with some lolly", he says.
